It seems like just yesterday was New Years, but here in DC, the cherry blossoms are starting to bloom which means that spring is in fact here. With Spring comes spring cleaning and that means a lot of work cleaning those spots or textiles, you’ve tried to ignore all year. The truth is, I don’t enjoy the act of Spring cleaning but I feel better once it’s done. So, I have collected some of the best Spring cleaning hacks I could find to help get you motivated to get your hands dirty and your house in tip-top shape! They definitely helped me. Just maybe, they could help you too!
Hack #1: Get Organized! Use a Checklist!
If you have a set plan or checklist of what needs to be done, then the task is a lot easier. I like to have a checklist by room. I put my iPod in my pocket with my favorite tunes and get moving. Having a list makes it easier for me to get the tasks done quickly and I feel like I am less likely to forget something critical. It also makes it seem less daunting. If you only have weekends, this is great too because it can help you have a focus on just a certain area. That way, you don’t have to give up your entire weekend to spring cleaning, maybe just your Saturday mornings. This will allow to get your spring cleaning done, but still have time for the family and we all know that family time is super important!
